Well this port is one of my favourites - after 11 visits of not being able to get off, I finally made it on Funchal land in 2021 where we had new year. To come back again throughout 2022 and welcome in 2023 there was lovely. I had a super touristy day today! Big tourist ticks include:
- Cable Car up to the botanical gardens (height lovers)
- Toboggan Down old school style (thrill seekers)
- Steak on a stone (meat eaters)
It was a brilliant day. The cable car is around 20 euros single journey, the toboggan is around 30 euros and steak on a stone is 15 euros. It was a pricey day but my husband had never been and was long overdue the visit! These three things took us from 10am till 2pm so you can fit them in easily in one day.
