Today is Suva!! I have always wanted to explore Fiji since seeing the film The Truman Show in my years at school haha! I actually escorted a tour today - The Jewel Of Fiji - it was insane. We started by coach venturing into the small villages of Suva. Once we had arrived we got on a long boat (old school style) and had a ride down the river through some rapids into a stunning gorge. We hopped off and had a five minute walk into the jungle to find a cascade of waterfalls into a natural pool. I obviously went for a dip! It was just stunning. Highly recommend going into the jungles and mangroves to see the wildlife and waterfalls. They are truly stunning. Crocs aren't a threat but snakes are so go on a tour - there are locals offering these in port and online.

Once we got back to the tribal ceremony hall, we saw a traditional welcome dance and chant, followed by very tasty traditional food! I am not sure what I ate but it was tasty haha! I then wandered around the village to see what was on offer - some crazy talented locals had made some souvenirs, I bought a handmade bookmark. I then saw a man with a machete - he was a coconut harvester! I grabbed one and he chopped the top off so I could enjoy the water from inside. So theatrical!

We got back on the transfer, headed back and I had an early night haha! Insane day and beautiful place.
